Picnic took place in Peace Park in Austin. People who are of Turkic origin and those who are just interested in these cultures took part in the event. The blend of all the people attending the event made it in many ways extraordinary. Cultural exchange started from meal and then was followed by bunch of activities like soccer, volleyball and even some competition was held.  Put aside all the cultural advantages, it was just a great time for everybody.

 KAZAKH MOVIE NIGHT

Kazakh movie night was organized on UT campus. One of the latest Kazakh made movies “ Nomad “ was shown. The plot of the movie was taken from the History of Kazakhstan. In addition to the history, it showed lots of traditional and cultural features of Kazakhs. Lots of new people attended this event. After the movie everybody was asked to share some Kazakh traditional food. Then event was followed by the discussion of the movie and event as a whole. 

Uzbek movie night was impressive in many ways. The name of the movie was “Days gone by”. It can be mostly considered as a traditional movie but it also conveyed some historical information. This movie acquainted people with Uzbek’s traditions and culture. So everybody got something new and useful from it. And at the end of the event everybody was introduced to Uzbek traditional meal.
